VIDEO: Jacky, Talks About Eureka…
In the video below, Jacques de Maroussem, better known as Jacky, the real owner, will give a brief history of Eureka House, an overview of its attractions, and a look into its future.
Visiting Eureka House
Here is a basic outline of what to do to get to Eureka House so you can have fun there. Upon reaching the right turn for Bois Chéri, Moka, turn to the right if you are approaching from Montagne Ory. Below, you will find a link to Google Maps. If you are taking the bus, there is a stop just after the right turn on the left. But if you are approaching from Moka, just make a left turn. On the left side of the road, about 200 meters ahead of the main road, is the Eureka House. There is a souvenir shop on site, so be sure to park your car there and then head inside. An employee will be there to greet you and show you around. Just a short walk away is the restaurant, and after touring the house, you have the option to go to the waterfalls, which are located below the cliffs and come highly recommended. The trail is well-marked and easy to follow. But, proceed with caution during the wetter times; the path may become very slick. Relax and take in the waterfalls before making your way back.
